Zydus Wellness Q1 net profit up by 59.6 per cent

AHMEDABAD: Zydus Wellness Ltd, consumer product arm of Ahmedabad-based Zydus Cadila Group, reported 59.6 per cent growth in net profit in Q1 2012-13. The company attributed its growth to Sugar Free, EverYuth and Nutralite.

According to the company's press statement, consolidated net profit stood at Rs 13.5 crore against Rs 8.5 crore in Q1 of last fiscal. The consolidated sales of the company stood at Rs 103.3 crore against Rs 91.4 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Sales grew by 13.1 per cent, company says.

Three brands - Sugar Free, EverYuth and Nutralite -- contributed to the growth story. The company aims at posting revenues of Rs. 500 crores by 2013.
