Wockhardt Q1 Results: Net loss narrows to Rs 16 crore

Drugmaker Wockhardt on Friday reported a net loss of Rs 16 crore in Q1FY25 led by improved performance of its UK and emerging markets.

The Mumbai-based drug maker reported a net loss of Rs 136 crore in Q1FY25.

Revenue rose 14% year-on-year (y-o-y) to Rs.747 crore in Q1FY25 compared to Rs.658 crore in Q4FY24.


The EBITDA for the quarter is Rs.100 crore registering a growth of 216% y-o-y, while the EBITDA margins improved 860 basis points to 13.4%.

The UK business that constitutes around 37% of revenue grew 12% y-oy to Rs.276 crore in Q1FY25.Emerging markets business which contributes 26% of revenue rose 44% to Rs 191 crore. India branded formulation rose 23% to Rs 123 crore.
