Vijay Shanthi Q4 net profit at Rs 27.70 lakh

CHENNAI: Real estate developer Vijay Shanthi Builders Ltd has reported a net profit of Rs 27.70 lakh for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2013.


The Chennai-based company had reported net loss at Rs 1.12 crore during the corresponding period of previous fiscal, Vijay Shanthi Builders Ltd said in a BSE filing.

For the fiscal ended March 31, 2013, the net profit of the company dipped to Rs 8.45 crore from Rs 9.47 crore registered during the corresponding period of fiscal 2011-2012.

The total income from operations for the fourth quarter declined to Rs 33.10 crore from Rs 71.79 crore registered during the corresponding period of previous fiscal.

For the 2012-13 financial year, the total income from operations slipped to Rs 138.35 crore from Rs 210.27 crore registered during the previous fiscal.

The company said its Board has recommended a dividend of Rs 0.80 per equity share for the financial year ending March 31, the face value of equity share is Rs 10 each.

Shares of the company were trading at Rs 17.30 apiece in afternoon, down by 0.86 per cent from its previous close on the BSE.
