VA TECH Wabag reports over 100 pc jump in third quarter net profits

CHENNAI: Water treatment company VA Tech Wabag has reported over 100 per cent jump in its consolidated net profits for the third quarter ending December 31, 2013 at Rs 21.66 Crore.

The city-based company had reported consolidated net profit at Rs 21.66 crore, up by 119.8 per cent from Rs 9.85 crore registered during the same period of previous year, VA Tech Wabag said in a statement.

The consolidated total income from operations for the third quarter ending December 31, 2013 rose to Rs 589.30 crore from Rs 354 crore registered during the same period of previous year.

"I am delighted with the excellent numbers reported by the company. More so since our multi-domestic unit strategy is paying off...," VA Tech Wabag MD Rajiv Mittal said.
