United Phosphorus Q1 consolidated net up 5 per cent at Rs 212.65 crore
Agro chemical firm United Phosphorus posted 4.8 per cent increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 212.65 crore in the first quarter ended June 30.

The company had clocked a net profit of Rs 202.91 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
Total income of the company increased 10.51 per cent to Rs 2,455.79 crore during the April-June period of this financial year from Rs 2,222.15 crore in the same period last year, the company said in a filing to the BSE.
The business activities of the company are divided into two parts agro activities and non-agro activities.
Profit from the agro activities of the company increased by 44 per cent to Rs 278.43 crore from Rs 193.47 crore in the review period.
United Phosphorus have 23 manufacturing sites in total out of which nine are in India, four in France, two in Spain, three in Argentina, one each in UK, Vietnam, Netherlands, Italy and China.
Shares of the company today fell 2.88 per cent to Rs 140.05 a piece in the late afternoon trade on the BSE.
