TTK Prestige Q2 net down 16% at Rs 25.79 crore

NEW DELHI: Home appliances manufacturer TTK Prestige on Monday reported a 15.93 per cent fall in net profit at Rs 25.79 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2013, mainly on account of rise in material costs.


The company had posted a net profit of Rs 30.68 crore for the corresponding quarter previous fiscal, TTK Prestige said in a filing to BSE.

Net sales of the company however rose to Rs 306.33 crore for the quarter under consideration as against Rs 302.53 for the same period year ago, it added.

TTK Prestige product range includes pressure cookers, non- stick cookware, rice cookers, kitchen hoods (chimneys), LP gas stoves, coffee makers, kettles, sandwich toasters among others.

The company a part of TTK Group, exports products to USA, Europe, South Africa, Kenya, Australia, Singapore, Middle East, Sri Lanka and many other countries.

Shares of TTK Prestige were today trading at Rs 3,616.20 apiece on BSE, down 5.61 per cent from their previous close.
