Kolkata: Canara Bank reported a 10% decline in net profit to ₹4,506 crore in the March quarter, weighed down by treasury losses that accelerated on a spike in sovereign bond yields after hostilities began in West Asia.

Net profit was ₹5,003 crore in the year-ago quarter. The bank's asset quality improved, with a drop in provisions. For the full fiscal year 2026, it reported a 12.7% rise in net profit to ₹19,187 crore compared with ₹17,027 crore in the preceding fiscal.
