Toyota Kirloskar February sales jump 55 pc

TKM, a joint venture between the world's largest car maker Toyota and the Kirloskar Group, attributed the growth to healthy sales of its latest sedan Etios.

NEW DELHI: Car maker Toyota Kirloskar Motor today reported 55.31 per cent jump in its sales at 9,308 units during February.

The company had sold 5,993 units in the corresponding month last year, Toyota Kirloskar Motor ( TKM) said in a statement.

TKM, a joint venture between the world's largest car maker Toyota and the Kirloskar Group, attributed the growth to healthy sales of its latest sedan Etios.

"We are very happy with the growth registered this month. This is largely driven by the sale of Etios with 2,786 units. We have sold 4,844 units since its launch in December 2010," TKM Deputy Managing Director (Marketing) Sandeep Singh said.
