Thinksoft Global Services net declines 20% in Januray-March

Thinksoft Global Services has reported 20.4 per cent decline in net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2013, at Rs 1.94 crore.

CHENNAI: Financial software testing firm Thinksoft Global Services has reported 20.4 per cent decline in net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2013, at Rs 1.94 crore.

The city-based company had reported net profit at Rs 2.44 crore during the corresponding period of the previous year, Thinksoft Global Services said in a BSE filing.

Total income from operations for the fourth quarter rose to Rs 37.43 crore from Rs 31.63 crore registered during the same period of the previous year.

For the year ended March 31 2013, net profits soared by 79.8 per cent to Rs 16.31 crore as against Rs 9.07 crore registered during the corresponding period of the previous year.

Total income from operations for the whole year grew to Rs 157.83 crore as against Rs 111.90 crore registered during the same period of the previous year.

The Board at its meeting today recommended a final dividend of Rs 3 per equity share for fiscal 2012-13. The payment is subject to approval of the shareholders, it said.

Shares of the company ended at Rs 73.45 apiece, up by 1.66 per cent over the previous close in BSE.
