Tata Metaliks posts Rs 12.25-cr profit in FY'10
Pig iron manufacturer Tata Metaliks Ltd has made a consolidated net profit of Rs 12.25 crore in the year ended March 31, 2010.
It had incurred a consolidated net loss of Rs 150.62 crore during the last fiscal, the firm said in a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Its consolidated total income rose to Rs 1,059.66 crore in the year under review, from Rs 1,014.51 crore in the same period last year.
For the year ended March 31, 2010, the Tata group firm posted a standalone net profit of Rs 45.55 crore, whereas it had incurred a net loss of Rs 148.74 crore in the last fiscal.
The standalone total income climbed up to Rs 1,055.54 crore in the year under review, from Rs 1,014.51 crore in the previous year.
The company recorded its second highest ever production of hot metal at 5,06,301 MT in FY'10, compared to 3,86,685 MT in the previous fiscal. The despatch during the year under review was 4,84,494 tonnes of prime pig iron, as against 3,78,966 tonnes during the preceding year, it said.
Shares of the company closed at Rs 140.05, down 4.83 per cent from previous close on the BSE.
