Tata group firm Voltas net profit dips 40% in April-June quarter

NEW DELHI: Tata group firm Voltas today reported 40 per cent decline in its consolidated net profit for the quarter ended June 30 at Rs 79 crore.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 132 crore in the corresponding period last year, Voltas said in a filing to the BSE.

The consolidated sales during the quarter, however, increased by 20 per cent to Rs 1,612 crore from Rs 1,346 crore in the same period last year, it added.

Shares of the company today closed 1.84 per cent up at Rs 104.10 apiece on the BSE.
