NEW DELHI: Ahmedabad-based air cooler company Symphony today reported 32.96 per cent increase in standalone net profit at Rs 28.76 crore for the first quarter ended September 30, 2015-16.

The company, which follows July-June financial year, had posted a net profit of Rs 21.63 crore in the previous year.

Symphony Ltd's net sales for the quarter under review stood at Rs 114.42 crore, up 24.45 per cent as against Rs 91.94 crore in the corresponding quarter of 2014-15 fiscal, the company said in a statement.

Symphony Executive Director Nrupesh Shah said: "The sustained growth is on account of strong performance across all business verticals. We are witnessing buoyant demand across the geographies and across the models."

Symphony shares today settled at Rs 2,154.95 per scrip, up 8.40 per cent, on the BSE.
