Swan Energy Q3 Results: Cons PAT soars 406% to Rs 583 crore, revenue up 20%

Swan Energy on Friday reported a 406% growth in its December quarter consolidated net profit at Rs 583 crore versus Rs 115 crore reported in the year ago period. The Q3FY25 revenue from operations stood at Rs 1,908 crore, up 20% over Rs 1,592 crore reported in the corresponding quarter of the last financial year.

The profit after tax (PAT) surged by 1,037% over Rs 51 crore reported by the company in Q2FY25. The topline saw a jump of 85% over Rs 1,032 crore reported in the July-September quarter of FY25.

The company also reported other income of Rs 1,868 crore in the December ended quarter versus Rs 31 crore reported in Q2FY25 and Rs 62.78 crore reported in the year ago period. This took the company's total income to Rs 3,777 crore in the reported quarter.

In the quarter under review, Swan Energy incurred expenses of Rs 2,669.75 crore which was up from Rs 1,006 crore in Q2FY25 and Rs 1,421 crore in Q3FY24. The expenses included head line cost of materials consumed, employee benefits expenses and finance cost.

The company operates in different sectors like energy, textile, construction and warehousing among others.

Segment revenue
Textile: The Q3FY25 revenue stood at Rs 19 crore versus Rs 25 crore in Q2FY25 and Rs 50 crore in the year ago period.

Energy: The company reported no revenue in the energy segment in the quarter under review versus Rs 66 crore in Q2FY25 and Rs 191 crore in Q3FY25.

Q3 revenue from the construction business was reported at Rs 30 crore versus Rs 25 crore in Q2FY25 and Rs 27 crore in Q3FY24.

The Distribution & Development revenue stood at Rs 1,833 crore in Q3FY25 versus Rs 889 crore in Q2FY25 and Rs 1,273 crore in the year ago period.

The shipyard business yielded revenue of Rs 2 crore.
