Suzlon posts Rs 58.65 cr profit in September quarter

Suzlon's Chief Financial Officer Robin Banerjee said the company has reported third consecutive profitable quarter.

NEW DELHI: Wind turbine maker Suzlon on Saturday reported a profit of Rs 58.65 crore for the three months to September.

The company had a loss of Rs 368.81 crore in the same period a year ago, it said in a statement.

In the latest quarter, Suzlon's total income rose to Rs 5,130.90 crore, from Rs 3,819.32 crore in the year-ago period. Suzlon's Chief Financial Officer Robin Banerjee said the company has reported third consecutive profitable quarter.

"Our gross profit margins improved to approximately 35 per cent, despite a very competitive market environment," he added.

Suzlon's Founder, Chairman and Managing Director Tulsi Tanti said the company continues to see strong growth in India, Germany, France, the UK, Canada and the offshore segment.
