Sun Pharma Q2 net profit quadruples to Rs 1,362 crore
Drug major Sun Pharmaceutical Industries today posted a four-fold increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 1,362.30 crore for the second quarter from a year earlier.

The company had posted a profit of Rs 319.64 crore in the same period of the previous financial year. It had set aside Rs 584 crore at the time towards potential damages in respect of patent infringement litigation related to generic versions of Protonix.
Total income rose to Rs 4,311.63 crore from Rs 2,833.13 crore, Sun Pharma said in a statement.
Sun Pharma shares closed at Rs 607.80 on the BSE, up 1.61 per cent.
