Strides Arcolab Q3 net up 13 pc at Rs 52 crore

NEW DELHI: Drug firm Strides Arcolab today said its net profit rose by 12.97 per cent to Rs 52.49 crore for the third quarter ended September 30, 2012, over the same period year ago.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 46.46 crore during the same period last year, Strides Arcolab, which follows calendar year, said in a statement.

Net sales of the company stood at Rs 577.33 crore for the third quarter ended September 30, as compared to Rs 767.36 crore during the same period in 2011-12.

Commenting on the results Strides Arcolab Vice Chairman & Group CEO Arun Kumar said:"...Both divisions continue to deliver on all key operating indicators, including regulatory filings, approvals and product launches. We are particularly pleased with our operating leverage that has been consistently achieved."

Shares of Strides Arcolab today closed at Rs 908 apiece on the BSE, up 1.27 per cent from its previous close.
