Srei Infrastructure business grows 49% to Rs 18,600 crore

Srei Infrastructure Finance Limited consolidated disbursement during the last financial year 2011-12 has been Rs. 18,600 crore as against Rs. 12,497 crore in the previous year, recording a growth of 49%. Continuing its growth path in the last fiscal, consolidated assets under management went up to Rs. 30,881 crore as on March 31, 2012 from Rs. 20,505 crore from the previous year, registering an increase of 51%.

The consolidated total income of the company grew by 49% to Rs. 2,446 crore for the year 2011-12 from Rs. 1,638 crore for the previous year. The consolidated Profit After Tax was Rs. 13.21 crore for Q 4 financial year 2011-12 as compared to Rs. 14.20 crore for Q4 in the corresponding period last year.

The Profit Before Tax stood at Rs. 237 crore during fiscal 2011-12 as compared to Rs. 289 crore during last fiscal while the Profit After Tax has been Rs. 112 crore during fiscal 2011-12 as against Rs. 179 crore compared to the last fiscal primarily owing to the sharp depreciation of Indian Rupee against US Dollar, resulting in a national forex loss of Rs. 64.80 crore. The year under review has also witnessed successive interest hikes which has brought profits under pressure.
