Srei Infra Q2 net rises 194 per cent

The company recorded 48 per cent rise in its consolidated revenue at Rs 356 crore during the quarter as against Rs 241 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.

KOLKATA: Srei Infrastructure Finance Limited has reported a 194 per cent jump in its net profit for the second quarter this fiscal at Rs 78.15 crore as compared to Rs 28.58 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.

The company recorded 48 per cent rise in its consolidated revenue at Rs 356 crore during the quarter as against Rs 241 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.

Total consolidated asset under management increased to Rs 14,944 crore from Rs 11,681 crore at the end of September, 2009, registering a growth of 28 per cent, the company said in a statement.

Srei's consolidated disbursement during the quarter stood at Rs 3,355 crore as compared to Rs 2,635 crore in the corresponding period last year, a 27 per cent growth.

The company's chairman and managing director Hemant Kanoria said, "We are fortunately now reaping the benefits of our early entry into the infrastructure sector about twenty one years ago. All the business verticals of Srei in the infrastructure sector have now matured."
