SPML Infra Ltd Q1 net profit jumps

Its net sales stood at Rs 359.6 crore, up 27.7 per cent during the quarter ended June 30, 2010, compared to Rs 281.6 crore posted during the same period of the last fiscal, the company said in a statement.

NEW DELHI: SPML Infra Ltd (formerly known as Subhash Projects and Marketing Ltd) on Friday reported a jump of 37.5 per cent in its net profit at Rs 14.6 crore in the April-June quarter, as against Rs 10.6 crore for the same quarter last year.

Its net sales stood at Rs 359.6 crore, up 27.7 per cent during the quarter ended June 30, 2010, compared to Rs 281.6 crore posted during the same period of the last fiscal, the company said in a statement.

"The significant increase in our business size and margins this quarter is owing to the renewed efforts on efficiency improvements in project implementation and overall optimisation across the enterprise," SPML Infra's chief operating pfficer Rishabh Sethi said.

On Friday, SPML Infra shares closed 2.27 per cent up at Rs 205 on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
