While company's total income increased 50.38 per cent from Rs 1,873. 58 crore to Rs 2,817.53 crore, the PBT (Profit Before Tax) grew by 52.98 per cent.

SHIMLA: Sutlej Jal Vidyut Nigam ( SJVN), a mini Navratana public sector undertaking, has posted a record increase of 50.43 per cent in PAT (Profit After Tax) at Rs 1,676.75 crore during the FY 2014-15.

The net profit of the company stood at Rs 1,114.63 crore in the last financial year, a company spokesman said.

While company's total income increased 50.38 per cent from Rs 1,873. 58 crore to Rs 2,817.53 crore, the PBT (Profit Before Tax) grew by 52.98 per cent from Rs 1,338.19 crore to Rs 2,047. 25 crore.

Resultantly, the company's EPS during this period increased from Rs 2.69 to Rs 4.05.

The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has approved the tariff for NJHPS for the period 2009-14.

Accordingly an amount of Rs 571.25 crore on account of arrears has been included in sales.

RN Misra, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of SJVN, informed that as per Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Government of India and SJVN, during the financial year 2015-16 SJVN targets energy generation of 8,520 million units (under Excellent parameters) from its 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station, 412 MW Rampur Hydro Power Station in Himachal Pradesh and 47.6 MW Khirvire Wind Power Project in Maharashtra.

The MoU also includes targets for implementation of 1320 MW Buxar Thermal Power Plant in Bihar and 80 MW Doimukh Hydro electric Project in Arunachal Pradesh.

Against the target of generating 7920 million units (under excellent parameters) the power Stations of SJVN has generated around 8130 million units last year.
