NEW DELHI: Textiles and plastics firm Sintex Industries today reported a 2.01 per cent growth in consolidated net profit to Rs 46 crore in the first quarter ended June 30.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 45.09 crore in the same period a year earlier, Sintex Industries said in a filing to the BSE.

Consolidated total sales rose to Rs 1,128.11 crore from Rs 1,080.56 crore during the same period of the previous fiscal.

In a separate filing to the BSE, Sintex Industries said its board approved the delisting of its equity shares from the Ahmedabad Stock Exchange, in accordance with market regulator SEBI's guidelines.

Sintex Industries shares traded at Rs 40.15 on the BSE in the afternoon, a drop of 4.18 per cent, after reaching an intra-day high of Rs 43.95.
