Sinclairs Hotels Q1 net profit up at Rs 2.67 crore

The luxury resort at Kalimpong and the tourist resort with banqueting and club facilities at Burdwan is expected to open this year.

Sinclairs Hotels Q1 net profit up at Rs 2.67 crore
KOLKATA: Sinclairs Hotels, which owns and operates hotels and resorts at Siliguri, Darjeeling, Dooars, Ooty and Andamans, reported a higher profit after tax of Rs 2.67 crore in the first quarter (Q1) ended June 30, 2014, compared to Rs 1.12 crore profit clocked in the corresponding quarter previous year.

Total operational income too rose to Rs 7.98 crore in the said quarter against Rs 6 crore in the corresponding previous quarter.

Company officials attributed the robust performance to increased occupancies at several properties and felt that the trend is likely to be maintained for the rest of the financial year barring unforeseen circumstances.
