Shriram City Union Q4 net up by 33.1%

Shriram City Union has reported 33.1 per cent growth on consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2013.

CHENNAI: Non-banking finance company Shriram City Union, part of the diversified Shriram Group, has reported 33.1 per cent growth on consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2013.

The Chennai-based company reported consolidated net profit at Rs 125.61 crore up by 33.1 per cent from Rs 94.33 crore registered during the corresponding period in 2011-12.

For the financial year ended March 31, 2013 the net profit of the company rose by 32.9 per cent to Rs 449.44 crore from Rs 338.09 crore registered during the corresponding period of previous year, Shriram City Union said in a BSE filing.

The consolidated total income of the company for the fourth quarter ending March 31, 2013 grew to Rs 830.30 crore from Rs 607.96 crore registered during the corresponding period of the previous year.

For the financial year ending March 31, 2013, the consolidated total income of the company soared to Rs 3,081.20 crore from Rs 2,037.83 crore compared to the previous year.

The board of directors at its meeting recommended a final dividend of Rs six per equity share of Rs 10 each to shareholders, it said.

Shares of the company ended at Rs 1,107.75 apiece up by 3.32 per cent over previous close in BSE.
