Seshasayee Paper Q2 net up by 7.35 per cent

CHENNAI: Seshasayee Paper and Boards Ltd today said its net profit has gone up by 7.35 per cent to Rs 5.69 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, 2013.

The Tamil Nadu-based company had reported net profit of Rs 5.30 crore during the corresponding period of last fiscal.

For the six month period ending September 30, 2013, the net profits grew by 11.1 per cent to Rs 12.48 crore from Rs 11.23 crore during the corresponding period a year ago, the company said in a release.

For the year ending March 31, 2013, its net profit stood at Rs 20.51 crore.

The total income from operations for the quarter ending September 30, 2013, soared to Rs 253.54 crore from Rs 202.52 crore during the corresponding period of previous year.

For the half-year period, the total income from operations went up to Rs 470.92 crore from Rs 401.78 crore registered during the same period of previous year.

For the year ending March 31, 2013 the total income stood at Rs 833.55 crore, it said.
