Sesa Goa Q3 standalone net up 39 pc to Rs 843.92 cr

Iron ore miner Sesa Goa today reported 39 per cent jump in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 31 to Rs 843.92 crore on higher sales.

NEW DELHI: Iron ore miner Sesa Goa today reported 39 per cent jump in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 31 to Rs 843.92 crore on higher sales.

The company, led by NRI billionaire Anil Agarwal, had recorded 607.71 crore in the October-December quarter last fiscal, Sesa Goa said in a communique to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Total income of the company increased to Rs 1,696.68 crore from Rs 1,398.49 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.

Meanwhile, in a separate filing to the stock exchange, Sesa Goa said that its Chairman S D Kulkarni has resigned from the company due to indifferent health on account of old age.

Former State Bank of India Managing Director Ashok Kini has been appointed as a Director in the firm.
