SAP Q4 revenue soar by 27 pc to 3.26 bn euro

The company's total revenue stood at 4.04 billion euro during the October-December quarter, against 3.19 billion euro in the same period last year.

WALLDORF/NEW DELHI: Software service provider SAP AG today reported a 27 per cent jump in its software and software-related service revenue at 3.26 billion euros (about USD 4.37 billion) for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2010 on the back of continued improvement in the business software sector.

The figures for the first time included the numbers from the German based company's recently acquired Sybase Inc..

SAP, however, didn't provide a net profit figure due to its lawsuit with Oracle Corp, the company said in a statement.

The company had a software and software-related service revenue at 2.57 billion euros in the same period last year, SAP said in a statement.

"We are pleased to announce the best software sales quarter in the history of SAP. We achieved outstanding growth in all regions and customer segments," SAP's Co-Chief Executive Bill McDermott said.

The company's total revenue stood at 4.04 billion euro during the October-December quarter, against 3.19 billion euro in the same period last year.

For the full year, SAP's revenue from software and software-related service stood at 9.78 billion euro, an increase of one per cent, while the total revenue rose to 12.45 billion euro, up by 17 per cent.
