Reliance Power Q2 net profit of Rs 272 crore

Reliance Power reported net profit of Rs 272 crore in the second quarter of 2016-17, declining from Rs 290 crore a year ago.

The company’s total income declined to Rs 2,562 from Rs 2,750 a year ago.

The company’s ultra mega power project at Sasan in Madhya Pradesh generated 5,798 million units of electricity, operating at availability of 70 per cent.

The Rosa Power Plant in Uttar Pradesh generated 2,159 million units, operating at availability of 97 per cent.

The Butibori Power Plant in Maharashtra generated 916 million units, the 40mw-Dhursar Solar PV plant in Rajasthan generated 17 million units, the 45 mw wind capacity in Maharashtra, while the 100 mw concentrated solar power project at Dhursar, Rajasthan, generated 12 million units, the company said.
