Reliance Power’s net profit declined to Rs 231 crore in the first quarter of 2017-18 from Rs 340 crore as its operating income declined and finance cost increased.

The company reported total income of Rs 2,752 crore, almost flat from Rs 2,749 crore a year ago. The company’s operating income fell to Rs 2,635 crore in the June quarter, down from Rs 2,679 crore.

Reliance Power’s Sasan Ultra Mega Power Project generated 7,531 million units, operating at availability of 89% in the quarter. Its Rosa Power Plant in Uttar Pradesh and 40 mw-Dhursar Solar project in Rajasthan operated at 100% availability.

Butibori Power Plant in Maharashtra operated at 76%, 45 mw-wind capacity in Vashpet in Maharashtra at 95% and 100 mw- Concentrated Solar Power project at Dhursar ran at 99%, the company said.
