Reliance Power consolidated net up by 37 per cent

Anil Ambani-led Reliance Power Ltd on Tuesday said it closed the second quarter of the current fiscal with 37 percent growth in net profit on a consolidated basis.

MUMBAI: Reliance Power reported a net profit of Rs 346 crore in the second quarter of 2015-15, up 37 per cent year-on-year, driven by higher generation.

The company total income increased to Rs 2,856 crore in the September quarter from Rs 1,885 crore a year ago.

The company’s Sasan Ultra Mega Power Project in Madhya Pradesh generated 7,922 million units operating at a availability of 90 per cent. The Rosa Power Plant in Uttar Pradesh generated 2,187 million units operating at an availability of 87 per cent and a plant load factor of 83 per cent. Its Butibori Power Plant in Maharashtra, generated 944 million units, at 88 per cent availability and a PLF of 71 per cent.
