REIL posts record turnover of Rs 134 crore
Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited (REIL), posted a record turnover of Rs 134 crore registering 34% growth in the fiscal 2010-11.
“The company clocked revenue of Rs 58 crore and Rs 76 crore in dairy technology and renewable energy divisions respectively. These two areas are likely to remain high growth segment in the current fiscal year as well and we expect a growth of 40%,” he said. The company is engaged in the Recently, REIL had entered into an agreement with Rajasthan government for setting up solar packs to power panchayat samities and gram panchayats across the state. This Rs 300-crore project will ensure effective implementation of the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act and its processes.
“We will set up 11-MW solar packs to power computers installed at Bharat Nirman Rajiv Gandhi Seva Kendra across 249 panchayat samitis and 9168 panchayats in Rajasthan. We will also maintain it for the next five years. Bharat Nirman Rajeev Gandhi Sewa Kendra would be a single window for providing the information on MNREGA and provide feedback on the implementation of the program,” he said.
The company, which is primarily engaged in dairy technology sector, is investing Rs 15 crore for setting up an automatic 12 MW Solar Photo Voltaic module manufacturing plant at Jaipur. This will ramp up the capacity from existing 2 MW to 14 MW. “The modules manufactured here would be used in illuminating Bharat Nirman Rajiv Gandhi Seva Kendra and other government projects granted to us,” he said.
