Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilisers Q1 net profit up by 65 per cent

RCF today posted 65 per cent rise in net profit to Rs 6.52 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012.

MUMBAI: Public sector undertaking Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilisers (RCF) today posted 65 per cent rise in net profit to Rs 6.52 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012.

The complex fertiliser manufacturer had reported a net profit of Rs 3.95 crore in the year-ago period, it said in a filing to the BSE.

Total income of the company rose by 71 per cent to Rs 1,481.86 crore in the reported quarter from Rs 867.46 crore in the same quarter of the 2011-12 fiscal.

RCF produces various grades of complex fertilisers at its two manufacturing units in Thal and Trombay in Maharashtra.

Shares of the company today closed at Rs 55.25 apiece on the BSE, down by 1.95 per cent from previous close at the BSE.
