Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilisers posts Rs 113.51 crore Q4 profit

Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilisers (RCF) today posted an 18 per cent rise in its net profit to Rs 113.51 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2012.

NEW DELHIL: Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilisers (RCF) today posted an 18 per cent rise in its net profit to Rs 113.51 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2012.

The complex fertiliser manufacturer had reported a net profit of Rs 96.10 crore in the year-ago period, it said in a filing to the BSE.

Total income of the company rose by 50 per cent to Rs 2,559.14 crore in the fourth quarter of the last fiscal from Rs 1,699.64 crore in the same quarter of the 2010-11 fiscal.

For the 2011-12 fiscal, RCF reported a marginal increase in its consolidated net profit to Rs 248.83 crore against Rs 244.71 crore in the year-ago period.

The total income of the company rose to 6,600.43 crore in the last fiscal from Rs 5,661.05 crore in the 2010-11 financial year.

The Mumbai-based public sector undertaking (PSU) produces various grades of complex fertilisers at its two manufacturing units in Thal and Trombay in Maharashtra.

Shares of the company were trading at Rs 56.90, up marginally by 0.09 per cent from previous close at the BSE at at 1500 hrs.
