Radico Khaitan Q2 net down 21.48% at Rs 17.32 crore

NEW DELHI: Liquor firm Radico Khaitan today posted 21.48 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 17.32 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2013.
The company had posted net profit of Rs 22.06 crore for the April-June quarter of 2012-13 fiscal.
Radico Khaitan's net sales during the quarter under review stood at Rs 341.65 crore, up 18.59 per cent compared with Rs 288.09 crore in the same period of previous fiscal, Radico Khaitan said in a BSE filing.
Overall expenses during the quarter were at Rs 316.01 crore, an increase of 23.86 per cent as against Rs 255.12 crore in the corresponding period last year.
The company's premium product portfolio includes Magic Moments Vodka, Morpheus Brandy, After Dark Whisky, among others.
Shares of Radico Khaitan closed at Rs 141.60 a piece at the end of the day's trade on the BSE, down 0.60 per cent from the previous close.
