Q2 results today: IRFC, IRCTC, Raymond among 47 companies to announce earnings on Monday

The second quarter earnings season is underway and as many as 47 companies will announce their quarterly numbers for the July-September 2024 period today. Key results to watch out for include that of IRFC, IRCTC and Raymond.

Apart from the above, ABB India, Andhra Paper, Amara Raja Energy, Exide Industries, Geam Fabmat, Indian Towers, Tube Investments, TruCap Finance and a few others will announce their quarterly results.

Amara Raja Energy Q2 expectations

Amara Raja Energy is expected to report a net profit growth of 17% year-on-year, while revenue from operations is seen growing 10% year-on-year in the quarter ended September 2024.

Motilal Oswal said the revenue growth will be driven by aftermarket division, growth in OEMs especially 2Ws and new energy business. Industrial division is expected to see gradual demand recovery led by telecom which declined in 1Q.

"EBITDA margin should see an expansion QoQ as we expect the normalization of the trading mix in 2Q and price hikes which would partially offset the impact of higher lead prices," the brokerage said.

Kotak Equities estimates revenues to increase by 10% YoY in 2QFY25 led by double-digit YoY increase in 2W OEM and export segments, strong growth in inverter segment demand, mid-single digit YoY increase in replacement segment volumes and (4) consolidation of plastic business of Mangal Industries.

"We expect EBITDA margin to increase by 60 bps YoY due to operating leverage benefits, favorable pricing and cost reduction measures," it said.
