Pyramid Saimira reports Rs 5.20-cr loss

CHENNAI: Theatre chain Pyramid Saimira Theatre Ltd today reported a net loss of Rs 5.20 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2010.

The city-headquartered company had made a net profit of Rs 14.06 crore during the corresponding period last year, Pyramid Saimira said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

For the nine-month period ended March 31, 2010, the company reported a net loss of Rs 8.77 crore as against a net profit of Rs 37.84 crore in the same period last year.

The total income of the company for the quarter ended March 31, 2009, stood at Rs 80.69 crore. For the nine-month period ended March 31, 2010, the company reported a total income of Rs 60.38 crore against Rs 721.04 crore in the same period of the previous year.
