Pratibha Industries Q3 net up 34.68% to Rs 19 crore

Urban infrastructure firm Pratibha Industries today reported a 34.68 per cent jump in net profit to Rs 19.08 crore for the third quarter.

MUMBAI: Urban infrastructure firm Pratibha Industries today reported a 34.68 per cent jump in net profit to Rs 19.08 crore for the third quarter ended December 31 as against Rs 14.17 crore in the year-ago period.

Total turnover for the period under review stood at Rs 456.46 crore, up 54.46 per cent from Rs 295.51 crore reported in the corresponding period last year.

Pratibha is engaged in urban infrastructure development including water, waste water, metro and building construction.

"This quarter has been extremely rewarding, as we bagged projects worth over Rs 3,350 crore between April- December 2011. Having established our leadership position in the infrastructure sector across our divisions, we foresee ourselves growing at a very healthy rate," the company's Managing Director, Ajit Kulkarni, said in a statement here.

The company's water division contributed 54 per cent of the revenues, while the building segment's share was 38 per cent, he said.

Pratibha Industries' order book as on December 31 stood at Rs 6,159 crore, the release said.
