Power Grid Q2 results: Net profit rises 20% YoY to Rs 3,094 cr

Power Grid Corporation of India on Wednesday posted 20.34 per cent year-on-year growth in consolidated net profit at Rs 3,094.10 crore for the quarter ended September 30. It had posted a profit of Rs 2,571.10 crore for the corresponding quarter last year.
Revenue from operations grew 6.16 per cent YoY to Rs 9,831 crore.
Total expenditure of the company declined to 5,986.37 crore in Q2FY21 over Rs 6,303.31 crore in Q2FY20.
The company announced its results post market hours. Earlier in the day, shares of the company closed 1.91 per cent higher at Rs 189.50. On the other hand, the benchmark BSE Sensex settled 0.73 per cent higher at around 43,594.
