Power Grid Q2 PAT seen 30% up at Rs 920 crore

MUMBAI: Power Grid Corporation will be announcing its second quarter results tomorrow.
According to an ET Now poll, the company’s net profit is likely to surge 30 per cent to Rs 920 core for the September quarter from Rs 709 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
Sales for the quarter are seen at Rs 3,010 crore, up 33 per cent, compared to Rs 2,264 crore in the same period last fiscal.
Q2 EBTIDA are seen at Rs 2600 crore, up 36.8 per cent, against Rs 1898 crore, year-on-year. The margins are seen at 86.5 per cent vs 83.8 per cent.
Analysts expect Rs 3000 crore worth of asset capitalization in the September quarter. The company capitalized assets worth Rs 14,100 crore in FY12 to boost revenues.
Management commentary on capex, issues relating to SEBs will be important.
