Patel Engg Q2 net up 7.15% at Rs 43.60 crore

Patel Engineering has posted a 7.15 per cent increase in its net profit to Rs 43.60 crore for the second quarter of FY 11 as compared to Rs 40.69 crore reported in the same period a year ago.

MUMBAI: Patel Engineering, a construction company specialising in hydro-power generation and irrigation segment, has posted a 7.15 per cent increase in its net profit to Rs 43.60 crore for the second quarter (Q2) of FY 11 as compared to Rs 40.69 crore reported in the same period a year ago.

The total revenues of the company grew by 25.98 per cent for the quarter at Rs 765.91 crore as compared to Rs 607.98 crore in the corresponding quarter in the previous year, a press release issued here today stated.

The EBDITA increased by Rs 15.38 crore to Rs 234.61 crore from Rs 219.23 crore for the corresponding quarter in the previous year, the release said.

The company has started realising revenues from its real estate venture--Smondoville in Bangalore and expects this to increase in the future.
