Orchid Chemicals June quarter net loss is Rs 54.50 crore

NEW DELHI: Drug firm Orchid Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals' net loss has widened to Rs 54.50 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2013.

The company had posted a net loss of Rs 50.80 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, Orchid Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals said in a filing to BSE.

Net sales of the company stood at Rs 248.46 crore for the quarter under consideration as against Rs 315.63 crore for the same period year ago, it added.

Shares of Orchid Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals today closed at Rs 45.55 per scrip on BSE, down 4.21 per cent from its previous close.
