NTPC's Q2 profit after tax grows by 30 per cent at Rs 17,167.88 crore
The unaudited total income rose by 5% to Rs 17,167.88 crore from Rs 16,386.87 crore in the corresponding quarter in previous year, a company statement said.

NEW DELHI: NTPC Ltd reported a 30% rise in net profit for second quarter of 2012-13 to Rs 3,142.35 crore against Rs 2,424.12 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous year.
The unaudited total income rose by 5% to Rs 17,167.88 crore from Rs 16,386.87 crore in the corresponding quarter in previous year, a company statement said.
The net profit during the first half of the year grew by 25% to Rs 5,641.02 crore from and Rs. 4,499.90 crore in the same period last year. Total income was up by 8% to Rs 34,012.77 crore as compared to Rs. 31,554.76 crore for the corresponding period last year.
NTPC group has declared commercial operation of 2820 mw power generation capacity in the last six months.
