Neyveli Lignite Q3 net profit up by 92%

NEW DELHI: State-run Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) on Friday reported a whopping 92 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 184.9 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 96 crore for the same period in last financial year, NLC said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The total income of the public sector firm also went up to Rs 1,181 crore for third quarter against Rs 1,000 crore for the same period of the last financial year, the statement added.
