Neyveli Lignite net up 20% in Oct-Dec quarter

NEW DELHI: Neyveli Lignite today reported 20 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 221.6 crore for the quarter ended December 31.

The company's net profit for October-December quarter in the last financial year was Rs 184.9 crore, Neyveli said in a statement.

The total income of Neyveli Lignite for the period was Rs 1,371 crore against Rs 1,181 crore in the corresponding period of FY'12, the statement said.

The company's share closed at Rs 84, 0.96 per cent up from the previous close on the BSE.
