NBCC posts Q1 net profit of Rs 27.04 crore

State-run National Building Construction Corporation (NBCC) today posted a standalone net profit of Rs 27.04 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012.

NEW DELHI: State-run National Building Construction Corporation (NBCC) today posted a standalone net profit of Rs 27.04 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012.

The total standalone income of the company stood at Rs 541.86 crore in the first quarter of the current fiscal.

NBCC had reported a net profit of Rs 190.16 crore in the 2011-12 fiscal and its total income was Rs 3,447.68 crore in the same period.

In March this year, NBCC had made an Initial Public Offer (IPO) for the disinvestment of 10 per cent stake. The issue was subscribed 4.93 times and the government had fixed share issue price for NBCC's public offer at Rs 106 per share to raise about Rs 127 crore.

NBCC under the administrative control of Ministry of Urban Development provides project management consultancy services for construction projects, civil infrastructure for power sector and real estate development.

Shares of the company today declined by 2.51 per cent to settle at Rs 95.15 apiece from its previous close at the BSE.
