Nagarjuna Construction Q2 net at Rs 63 crore

Nagarjuna Construction Company on Wednesday reported a net profit of Rs 63.48 crore for the second quarter ending September 30.

NEW DELHI: Construction firm Nagarjuna Construction Company on Wednesday reported a net profit of Rs 63.48 crore for the second quarter ending September 30, against Rs 46.93 crore in the year-ago period.

The turnover of the firm went up by 6.7 per cent to Rs 1,512 crore for the second quarter of the current fiscal, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Nagarjuna clocked a turnover of Rs 1,417 crore in the same period of the last financial year, it said.

For the first six months of the current fiscal, the company reported a net profit of Rs 119.71 crore on consolidated basis as against Rs 94.58 crore.

The Hyderabad-based, which has so far secured orders worth Rs 3,495 crore, reported a turnover of Rs 2,917 crore during the half-year ended September 30, 2010. In the year-ago period, it had a turnover of Rs 2,631 crore.

The company further said that by the end of the reporting quarter its order book stands at Rs 16,075 crore.
