MMTC net profit at Rs 29 cr in Q3

NEW DELHI: State-owned trading firm MMTC today reported a net profit of Rs 28.84 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2012.
The company had reported a net loss of Rs 91.31 crore during the corresponding period of last fiscal.
Net sales of the firm was down to Rs 7,161. 51 crore during the third quarter compared to Rs 18,898.98 crore of the October-December 2012 period, it said in a filing to the BSE.
Shares of the company closed today at Rs 601.10 apiece on the BSE, down 4.99 per cent from its previous close.
