Medanta Q3 Results: Profit jumps 15% to Rs 143 crore, revenue rises 12%

Global Health (Medanta) reported a 15.6% year-on-year (YoY) jump in net profit to Rs. 143 crore in Q3FY25 due to increase in revenue growth from new hospitals, along with higher patient volumes. The company also saw growth of international patients.

The company net profit of Rs 123.5 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. On a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis the net profit rose 9%.

Revenue rose 12.8% YoY to Rs 943.4 crore.


The earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and ammortisation (EBITDA) rose 8.4% YoY to Rs 253.8 crore. EBITDA margins dropped 94 basis points YoY to 26.5% in Q3 FY25. On sequential basis, the EBITDA margin rose 120 basis.

Medanta will further strengthen its presence in Ranchi with a newly built 110-bedded hospital under a long-term lease agreement. The hospital strategically located just 1.2 km from Medanta Ranchi existing hospital, is expected to commence operations by the end of Q1FY26.

Average occupied bed days increased by 10.5% y-o-y, with occupancy of 63.6% on increased bed capacity. In-patients count increased by 12.9% y-o-y; Out-patients count increased by 8.7% y-o-y

Average revenue per occupied bed (ARPOB) marginally grew by 1.2% y-o-y to Rs. 61,307 in Q3FY25.

Matured hospitals revenue was Rs. 646.6 crore, growth of 10.1% on y-o-y basis. EBITDA was Rs. 161.7 crore, grew 9% on y-o-y basis.

Developing hospitals revenue was Rs 300.4 crore, a growth of 9.5% on y-o-y basis. EBITDA was Rs 101.5 crore growth of 4.8% on y-o-y basis

Revenue from international patients increased by 14.3% to y-o-y to Rs. 54.1 crore.

Out-patient pharmacy revenue rose 21.4% to Rs 35.2 crore in Q3 FY25.

Medanta has 3,042 installed beds as on December 31, 2024. It also has one hospital under-construction in Noida.
