MCF posts net profit of Rs 56.42 cr in Jul-Sept qtr

Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilisers (MCF) today reported a 83 per cent rise in the standalone net profit to Rs 56.42 crore for the quarter ended September 30.

NEW DELHI: Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilisers ( MCF) today reported a 83 per cent rise in the standalone net profit to Rs 56.42 crore for the quarter ended September 30.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 30.86 crore in the year-ago period, it said in a filing to the BSE.

The standalone net sales of MCF declined to Rs 839.05 crore in the second quarter this fiscal from Rs 1,059.31 crore in the same quarter of 2011-12 fiscal.

The company produces a wide range of products, including Urea, di-ammonium phosphate, muriate of potash, granulated fertilisers, micronutrients, specialty fertilisers, among other products.

Shares of the company today fell by 1.48 per cent to settle at Rs 44.25 apiece on the BSE.
