Mawana Sugars Q2 net loss at Rs 8.83 cr

NEW DELHI: Mawana Sugars today reported a net loss of Rs 8.83 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2011 due to high interest outgo.

The company had posted a net loss of Rs 34.60 crore in the year-ago period.

The net sales declined to Rs 277.73 crore during July- September quarter of this fiscal from Rs 337.72 crore in the corresponding period of previous year.

Mawana paid about Rs 19 crore as interest during the quarter ended September, according to a filing on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
