L&T Q1 profit jumps 36% YoY to Rs 1,215 crore, meets Street estimates
The engineering and construction major had reported Rs 893 crore profit in the year-ago quarter, the company said in a BSE filing.
Consolidated gross revenue for the quarter rose 18 per cent to Rs 28,283 crore led by pickup in execution, strong growth in services business and recognition of revenue in realty business.
International revenue at Rs 9,669 crore accounted for 34 per cent of the total revenue during the quarter.
The company won orders worth Rs 36,142 crore during the quarter.

Overall, the consolidated order book stood at Rs 2,71,732 crore as of June 30, out of which international orders accounted for 23 per cent of the book.
The infra segment bagged Rs 19,395 crore orders during the quarter, which were up 16 per cent on YoY basis. The order book for the segment stood at Rs 2,10,599 crore.
A reversal of expected credit loss provisions on contract assets helped this segment report ebitda margin of 36.1 per cent against 12.3 per cent in the year-ago quarter.
